We are reopened By Appointment Only, please call 269-695-7119 for an appointment.

We have reopened and are welcoming seniors back by appointment only, as State of Michigan limits indoor gatherings to 10 people or less. This also means that we have limited programming and require appointments, in order to respect the 10 person limit.

  • You must call 269-695-7119 for an appointment and to sign up for programs you want to attend. No appointment, no entry.

  • You must wear a face mask inside the center at all times and practice social distancing of six feet. If you need a face mask, our volunteers have made cloth facemasks for our seniors. Call us at 269-695-7119 to arrange a time to pick one up.

  • If you have felt sick, please don’t come. We do a wellness screening at the entrance.

  • We are strictly limited to ten (10) patrons in the center at any given time. That is why you need to call for an appointment.

  • Do not arrive more than five minutes before your appointment, so we don't exceed our 10 person limit. If you are early, you may need to wait in your car.

  • You will need to sign a one-time waiver to enter the building.

  • Bring your own beverages because coffee service and the drinking fountain are turned off. Bottled water and soda are available for purchase.

These guidelines are for the safety of our staff and patrons. We appreciate your cooperation as we make resources and programs available to our seniors once more.

At this time we are providing the following programs. Unfortunately, some of our programs cannot resume yet due to group size restrictions. Appointments are required, so please call ahead for an appointment:

  1. Line Dancing outdoors in the shade, Monday at 9 am, Tuesday at 9:30 am

  2. Weekly Blood Pressure checks, Tuesday at 11 am

  3. Eyeglass repair, 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:30 am

  4. Quilting (bring your own tools), Tuesdays at 1 pm

  5. Fiber Friends (bring your own tools), Fridays at 1pm

  6. Book Club, 3rd Thursday at 10:30 am

FOOD ASSISTANCE: Please note, Senior Nutrition Services provides meals on wheels and food assistance to those who need it. If seniors need food assistance from SNS, they should call 269-925-0137 for more information and to register for services. At this time, congregate meals are not happening but you pick up your lunch at BASC to take home to eat.

THE TOTE: We have placed a tote box in the front of the senior center which contains our newsletter, The Paper, resources, information, and fun activities to get you through the pandemic. If you are out, stop by and check inside the tote.

Thank you,
The BASC Board of Directors
