BASC COVID-19 Closure Extended per Governor's order. We reopen Friday, May 29.

We want to alert you that, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the BASC has extended our closure through May 28th, and our status moving forward from May 29th will depend on the public health protocol at the time.

We are still answering our main phone #269-695-7119, so please call if you need to be in touch with us. We will do our best to be of service within the current restrictions.

DAILY CHECK-IN CALLS: While the BASC is closed, we want to keep in touch with our senior patrons who would like social contact that respects social distancing requirements. If you or a senior you know would like a regular check-in call, please call our office at 269-695-7119 to be added to our call list.

FOOD ASSISTANCE: Please note, while we are closed, the Senior Nutrition Services will continue providing meals on wheels and food assistance to those who need it. If seniors need food assistance from SNS, they should call SNS at 269-925-0137 for more information and to register for services. The SNS May menu can be found in the tote out front of the senior center, as well as the Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry distribution schedule and the monthly commodity distribution information.

THE TOTE: We have placed a tote box in the front of the senior center which contains our newsletter and The Paper, resources, information, and fun activities to get you through the pandemic. If you are out, stop by and check inside the tote.

FACE MASKS: It is recommended that you wear a face covering when in contact with others, such as at the grocery store or other shopping. The senior center has face masks that were made and donated by volunteers, which are available to seniors (60+) and their caregivers. If you are a senior in need of a face mask, you can stop by the kitchen door (facing Rynearson St.) Monday through Friday, between 10:00 and 11:30 am, or call us at 269-695-7119 and we will place one in a plastic bag with your name on it inside the tote for you to pick up.
